There are thirty seven Associations of Advocates affiliated with Jharkhand State Bar Council. Of these there are twenty four District bar Associations (DBAs) i.e. one Association at each district town, twelve Sub Divisional Bar Associations (SDBAs) and one at the Jharkhand High Court.

The Council is obliged to promote the growth of Bar Associations to implement the welfare schemes and to regulate the collective matters of the Advocates.

The State Bar Council confers affiliation to the applicant Associations as per the Affiliation Rules read with the Model Rules. The norm is to affiliate one Association at one unit.
