To encourage and welcome the newly enrolled young Advocates, Jharkhand State Bar Council provides them token money which is termed as “stipend”, and is payable currently @ Rs one thousand per month for three years or till the age of forty years, whichever is earlier. This is however, not available to those who enrolled themselves as Advocates after they retired from or left some other profession before they enrolled as Advocates.

For the aforesaid benefit, the newly enrolled Advocate is required to submit an application form (See Download section for the form). The form needs to be duly forwarded by the President/ Secretary of the concerned Association of which the applicant Advocate is a member. The form may be submitted either at the office of the Council or the office of the Trustee Committee. The applicants are also required to be members of Trustee Committee to avail the benefits under this Scheme also.
